DoCiao (“DoCiao,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a service operated by YIYA International, a corporation organized under the laws of the State of California, with its principal place of business at 6565 W Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028. We operate the website dociao.com (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you visit or use our Service.

By using dociao.com, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide to Us

  • Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and any other information you choose to provide (such as a username or display name).
  • User-Generated Content (UGC): If you upload, post, or submit content (text, images, files, comments, or other materials) to the Service, we collect and store that content.
  • Communications: If you contact us for support or other inquiries, we collect the information you provide in that communication.
  • Google Account Information: If you choose to sign in using Google, we receive and store your name and profile picture from your Google account.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: We do not currently use third-party analytics tools. If this changes, we will update this section to describe what is collected and by whom.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies to operate the Service and remember your preferences. See Section 4 below.
  • Consent Records: When you subscribe to or unsubscribe from marketing emails, we record the date, your IP address, and your browser’s user agent. This information is retained solely as evidence that consent was given or withdrawn, as required by applicable anti-spam laws, and is not used for any other purpose.

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect or process your precise or approximate geolocation.
  • We do not collect payment card information or other financial account information, as the Service does not process payments directly.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account;
  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
  • Display, store, and enable sharing of your user-generated content as directed by you;
  • Send you transactional and service-related communications (e.g., account verification, password resets);
  • Send you promotional communications, including coupons, discounts, and special offers, where you have not opted out;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Marketing Communications and Coupons

If you provide your email address, we may send you promotional emails, including coupons and offers. You may opt out of promotional emails at any time by:

  • Clicking the “unsubscribe” link included in each promotional email; or
  • Contacting us at support@dociao.com.

Please note that even if you opt out of promotional emails, we may still send you non-promotional, transactional communications related to your account.

4. Cookies and Third-Party Tracking Technologies

  • Essential Cookies: Required for the Service to function (e.g., keeping you logged in).

We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies, and the Service does not use third-party analytics or advertising technologies such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, or Meta/Facebook Pixel. If we begin using such technologies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy before doing so, and will implement any consent mechanisms required by applicable law.

Your Choices: You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. Note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.

5. User-Generated Content (UGC)

The Service does not currently offer a general user-upload feature. The following describes how we will handle user-submitted content if and when this feature becomes available.

When you are able to upload or post content to dociao.com, please be aware of the following privacy implications:

  • Your content, along with any personal information you choose to include in it, may be publicly visible to other users and visitors, depending on the features of the Service at the time.
  • Publicly posted content may be indexed by search engines and accessed by anyone on the internet, including people who do not have an account with us.
  • Do not include other people’s personal information (such as their name, email, or photo) in content you upload without their consent.
  • We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review or remove content in accordance with our content moderation practices.

The rights and license you grant us in your content, and your responsibilities as a content creator, are described in our Terms of Service, Section 3 (“User-Generated Content”). This Privacy Policy addresses only the privacy and data-handling aspects of your content.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service Providers: We work with the following third-party service providers to operate the Service:
    • Supabase — account management and database hosting
    • Vercel — application hosting
    • Resend and Amazon SES — email delivery
    • Google — authentication, if you choose to sign in with Google
  • Legal Compliance: When required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DoCiao, our users, or others.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

This list may be updated from time to time as our service providers change.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information for longer periods where required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described in Section 9.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you;
  • Request access to or a copy of your personal information;
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • Request deletion of your personal information;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information);
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, where applicable.

Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of the rights described above, including by denying you goods or services, charging different prices, or providing a different level of service.

Authorized Agents: You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide proof of authorization and may still require you to verify your own identity directly with us.

California Residents: If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information. 11. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
